7.3 Give two Best Practices of the institution (please see the format in the NAAC Self-study Manuals)

01- One of the Best practices of our college for the year 2017-18 is a sensitization programme
for youth being organized by the Department of Defence, about the prevailing problem of
Naxal violence in the state of Chhattisgarh. This programme initiates the feeling of patriotism

in students when they perform flag hoisting and rallies in the Naxal affected areas, paying

homage to their seniors in Defence Studies, who were martyred during army ambush in the
Naxal affected region. (detailed proforma attached )

02- Another best practice of the college in the session 2017-18 was the skill based training to
Geology students organized every year by the Geology department of the college, in
collaboration with Rajiv Gandhi National Ground Water Research Institute, Raipur on water
harvesting and exploration. Skill development is the need of the hour and every year students
of MSc Geology are being trained to aquire a skill and some of them even practice this skill
as a profession. ( Detailed proforma attached)
