The College Library is an important center of the educational resource   and working as Central Reference Library with fourteen constituent Departmental Library of the College, Govt. Nagarjuna Post Graduate College of Science, and Raipur. The college Library was established in 1948. 

Libraryis the most important and essential part of an institution. It provides all the necessary resource for teaching job. College is the center of higher education among the teaching institutes. An effective teaching can be done with the help of available literature and reference books available in the library. Librarygenerates oxygen of the institute. College without library is like a   soulless body. 

This college library was established in its establishing year in 1948. Initially 401 books were purchased. Within two years the number of books was   increased and reached to the figure of 4000 and in continuing processes library was   developed to meet the requirement of various courses. 

Library has the relevant books, research journals, text books, magazines, maps, atlas, Project reports, research projects, solved and unsolved question papers, related to different courses to assist the students as well as teachers. 

Shri R.S Iyer was the first Librarian of this library. Initially the books were purchased out of General Fund gifts and donations.  Later book bank plan was started in 1971.Purchase of books was started form UGC fund in 1968. Presently library has 58491 books. Since 1948, 35100 books has been purchased from General Fund till date whiles, UGC fund books are 17124.books are 1838 gifted and donated by Many rare books are available, in the Library .3603 books purchased under SC, STs special issue plane, 826 books have been purchased under the 10+2 Science education development plan, 471 books procured under of book bank Plan, 40 research projects reports and 58 journals, 25 newspapers, 258 general magazines are subscribed. 

The college library has been divided in two parts, central library and departmental library. Reference books, general books for under graduation level are issued from main Central Reference library and books for post-graduation classes are issued relevant departmental library. 

In central & departmental library together has 1, 00,000 books and 150 magazines. Almost 2200 student, 110 Professors/Asset. Professors 20 officers, 200 official staff, 25 researchers are using of this library. 

SC and STs Candidates are issued books for examination period under the rules of Book Bank Plan. Reading room has been established separately. In reading room, the newspapers, magazines and necessary text materials are available for the students. The capacity of reading room is 80 individuals. 

 Presently Library is run by a Librarian and Supporting staff

NPG Autonomous College, Raipur is serving the needs of different subject and department of   the College. The library is   providing service to own users (Student, Research scholar, Academic staff and office staff), other users from all section of the society.
